Projects
• Private persons can start their own projects on MyGoodAct, but these projects can not raise money because of fraud possibilities. Private persons can request ideas and labor.• You can start a project by clicking on Start a project.
• You can find all projects on MyGoodAct if you click on Projects. Green dots on the world map are active projects and blue dots are completed projects.
Org Projects
• Organizations on MyGoodAct can start projects which are allowed to raise money.Fundraisers
• Private persons can start fundraisers for any of the organizations registered on MyGoodAct. To do this find the organization you want to fund, and click on "Start Fundraiser" top right on the organization's profile.• Fundraisers are connected directly to the organizations' PayPal-accounts.
Profile Settings
• To change your profile settings click on Profile Settings.Companions
• You can companion up any user on MyGoodAct. If you click on "Companion Up" on another users profile, the user will be added in your companions box on your profile (bottom left). The user you have companied up will see your profile in the Companioning Me-list.gActs
• You can show your support for an organization on MyGoodAct by "gActing" it. If you gAct an organization it lets everybody know that you think the organization is doing a good act. All the organizations you have gActed will be visable in the "my gActs"-box on your profile. To gAct an organization you have to visit the organization's profile and click on the "gAct it"-button under the profile picture.Slide Show Code
• Instead of focusing on creating an album solution for MyGoodAct, we have decided to let our users use other services that got far more better picture and album functions. Currently you can paste any embed-code into the "Slide Show Code"-area on project start up. We recommend you to use Picasa Web or Flickr. Albums can be located on fundraisers or projects. If you click on the project picture or the fundraiser picture when viewing the specific site you will be redirected to a slide show.About Us

MyGoodAct is currently funded by sponsors and organizations. MyGoodAct does not have any transaction fee.Who started MyGoodAct?
MyGoodAct was started by Jonas Borchgrevink in 2009. A boy at the time he had one thought, he wanted to change the world. A common thought for young and engaged people. He had been thinking about MyGoodAct for ages and first glimpse of the idea MyGoodAct came in 2005 when he was only 15 years old. At that time social networks, including Facebook, were increasing in popularity and Jonas was feeling it.Jonas had always been interested in helping others and thought help organizations like Red Cross, Unicef, World Wild Life, and so on, did a great job. Now a brilliant idea came to life. He mumbled to himself: - Why can't we make a social network for people that are interested in helping others? Why can't we make it easier to donate money, make it funnier for young people to engage themselves and give people more information about constructive projects?
Jonas was certain that if people could get more updates, see more documentations of what the organizations actually did, people would be more generous. They would be more interested.
In 2009 he started on an economic school in Oslo Norway where he studied for a bachelor in Entrepreneurship. It was here he founded MyGoodAct and began working on projects and the layout of the organization.
How can I delete my account?
Currently you have to send us an email to [email protected] to and let us know that you want your account deleted. We will then delete it as fast as we can.
